Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club runs Monday to Friday, starting at 7.30am each morning children will go directly to class from the club.
The club is run/organised by Mrs Eastment, Mrs Lloyd and Mrs Blakesley. Mrs Reid looks after any Nursery children attending. Places are available on a first come first served basis and must be booked in advance – see below for further details on booking.
Children have the opportunity to socialise in a safe environment with an array of crafts, games and other activities available.
The following food is available every day for the children to choose from:
Various types of cereal and drinks, including milk, apple and orange juice, toast, crumpets, waffles and pancakes, yoghurt and fresh fruit
Breakfast Club is charged at £5 per day for nursery children, and £2.20 per day for school children (reception class to year 6) – costs are based on pupil to staff ratios. For children claiming free school meals on economic grounds, Breakfast Club is free but must still be booked. Bookings must be made and paid for by the Wednesday prior to the week it is required. This must be made electronically on the MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) system. Access to MCAS will be provided during the first 2 weeks of joining Liden Academy. If Breakfast Club is required during this initial joining period, please let the school office know as soon as possible so that your child can be included on the register. The booking will then be made on your behalf on MCAS for you to pay. Cancellation of Breakfast Club bookings cannot be refunded. For further information on MCAS bookings, please click here
If you have any queries or issues, or you require more information, please contact the school office on 01793 531025 or email us at [email protected]
After school clubs and activities
We run a rich and varied programme of clubs. Some are run by staff, others are run by parent volunteers and we also have a number of qualified coaches who run some of our sports clubs. We are proud of the standards in our clubs and the children enjoy the exciting opportunities on offer. It is a great way for children to try out different things and to work with children from different age groups. We aim to keep the cost of clubs to a minimum and many are free. Some external club providers will liaise directly with parents for payment.
Soccer Excellence, who have run our school football team and afterschool football training clubs for many years now, also run our after school activity clubs. Please find below a list of clubs for the relevant term and days they run. Most clubs will be set up on our MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) system (the same system used for booking of school dinners and/or breakfast club/trips) for parents to sign up and pay where necessary. Places are often limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis. Communication will be sent to advise parents when the clubs become available for booking. There may be occasions where the club will not be on MCAS and you will be advised accordingly below.
A register is taken at the start of each club, so if your child has to miss a club for any reason, please ring the school to let them know.
After school clubs generally run from 3.15pm until 4:00/4:15pm, but please check communications eg flyers attached below and/or MCAS for exact timings.
