Jeff Mason – Principal

Mr Mason is also the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Liden Academy.

Suzanne Durham – Vice Principal

Mrs Durham is the academy’s Vice Principal, Early Years Lead and part of the safeguarding team.

Alex Parker – KS2 Assistant Vice Principal

Mr Parker is Assistant Principal, teaches Year 6 and is the leader of Years 5 and 6. He is also subject lead in maths and PE.

Dawn McCluskey – KS1 Assistant Vice Principal

Mrs McCluskey is Assistant Vice Principal, leader of Key Stage One, teaches in Year 2 and leads reading.

Linzi Lawrence – Special Educational Needs Coordinator

Miss Lawrence coordinates support for children with special educational needs. She is also responsible for EAL and is part of the safeguarding team.

Kelly Robison – Pastoral Lead

Mrs Robison supports children across the school with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

Donna Coe – Pre-School Class Teacher

Mrs Coe has worked at Liden for her whole teaching career. She was a teacher in Early Years and has moved across to be room leader in our Bumblebee pre-school class for 3 and 4 year olds

Kate Griffin – Nursery Room Leader

Mrs Griffin is the Nursery Room Leader in Ducklings and Ducks, for our 2-3 year old children.

Jade Schofield – Nursery Assistant

Miss Schofield is room leader for Bumblebees pre-school class, supporting our 3-4 year olds

Sharon John – Nursery Assistant

Mrs John works in the Bumblebees pre-school room

Jackie Wright-Neville – Nursery Assistant

Mrs Wright-Neville works in the Bumblebees pre-school room

Rebekah Reid – Nursery Assistant

Mrs Reid works with the 2-3 year old children in Ducks and Ducklings class.

Lucy Hayward – Nursery Assistant

Miss Hayward works with the 3-4 year old children in Bumble Bees class.

Megan Hassmann – Early Years Teacher

Miss Hassmann is a teacher in Early Years and is subject lead on geography.

Karen Allen – Year 1 Teacher

Mrs Allen works in Year 1 and is subject lead in French

Hannah Atkinson – Year 2 Teacher

Miss Atkinson works in one of our year 2 classes. The other class is taught by Mrs McCluskey

Robyn Sim – Year 3 Teacher

Miss Sim works in Year 3 and is subject lead in music

Laura Little – Year 3 Teacher

Having worked at Liden as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant Mrs Little qualified as a teacher and now teaches Year 3 and is subject lead for RE,

Emily Lafford – Year 4 Teacher

Miss Lafford works in Year 4.

Erin Milroy – Part-time Teacher Year 4

Miss Milroy works in Year 4 sharing the class with Mrs Bond and is subject lead in Design Technology (DT)

Melanie Bond – Part-time Teacher Year 4

Mrs Bond works in Year 4 sharing the class with Miss Milroy and is subject lead in computing

Carla Whitehead – Year 5 Teacher

Miss Whitehead is a teacher in Year 5.

Kate Austin –  Year 5 Teacher

Mrs Austin works in Year 5 is subject lead in writing

Matthew Parsley – Year 6 Teacher

Mr Parsley is a teacher in one of our Year 6 classes along with Mr Parker in the other class, and is subject lead in science and PE.

Zahida Saghir – Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Ms Saghir teaches children across the school.

 Louise Eastment – Teaching Assistant

Mrs Eastment works with children in Year 6. She has been at Liden Academy for over 20 years! During this time Mrs Eastment has worked with an incredibly large number of children and also works in our Breakfast Club.

Mrs Blakesley has many years of experience. She currently supports children in Year 4 and assists in Breakfast Club.

Kelly Courtney – School Business Manager

Mrs Courtney has worked in the office at Liden for several years; she was appointed as school business manager in September 2021.

Georgina Corcoran  – Operations Manager

Courtnay Robinson – Admin and Attendance Officer

Mrs Robinson is new to Liden Academy but has 5 years experience working in schools. She is part of the office team with particular responsibility for monitoring attendance.

Megan Street – Finance Officer

Miss Street oversees finance at our academy.

Lynette Walker – Admin Officer

Ian Lees – Caretaker

Mr Lees looks after the school premises.

Kitchen Team

Thurean Appleyard, Martina Donachie, Janjira Osbourn and Jintana Greaves run our kitchen, providing delicious hot meals every day.

MDSA Team

Mrs Eastment (TA)and Nicola Harris (TA) are part of our School MDSA team, along with Mrs Avram, Mrs Cottee, Mrs Baker, Mrs Harper-Evans and Mrs Street.
