Liden Young Carers
A Young Carer is a child or young person under 18 who regularly looks after someone in their family or a friend who is ill, disabled, or has a mental health problem or an addiction.
Children may help with any of the following:
● Shopping, cooking, cleaning
● Managing medicines or money
● Providing personal care
● Help with leaving the house
● Keeping an eye on someone
● Providing emotional support

Mrs Robison runs a termly Liden Academy Young Carers group. The Young Carers have the chance to meet with other children with similar responsibilities and have lots of fun enjoying a variety of craft activities and board games.
